AssaultCube-Extremely low FPS-worked fine before

A few years ago before I had internet and before I became a regular PortableApps user, I downloaded AssaultCubePortable and ran smoothly on my old desktop. But fairly recently my FPS will not go higher than 3-4. I have no idea what caused this massive FPS drop. If anyone can help me, I would be very grateful. If anyone is interested I will post my PC specs. Thank you!

Rename Data

To start, try renaming AssaultCubePortable\Data to something else, then see if the FPS is still low. IF no, it's something in AssaultCube's settings.

On the other hand, if it is still low, there may be something going on on that computer, and we can try and work from there.

A little better

I did as you said but the FPS is only up to 20fps, nowhere near playable speed.

I opened CPU-Z and generated a text report;

Resolution

Try lowering your monitor resolution - it looks like some people have found that fixes a similar problem.

Nope

I lowered my monitor resolution as low as it would go but no noticeable change.

Not portable-related, try here

As mentioned by John elsewhere, this doesn't seem to be portable-related, and the only thing I was able to find similar didn't help, so I suggest check with AssaultCube's forums/wiki/documentation for help: http://assault.cubers.net/
