Works perfectly for me Thanks a lot!
Hello Olf,
I am glad you like it!
Regards
Thanks! I've installed it on my University computer account and it's working well so far. Caveats:
- Each time I start I get the following error message: "Zotero Standalone is currently running from a UNC path. This may or may not work and may even cause data corruption. For better results, you could map the directory to a drive letter and try again. Continue? Y/N"
I've no choice but to use this path ("\\cfs\users\[me]\Documents\Programs") and I've noticed no problems so far.
- The update won't install so no colour tags for me
@Notiophilus
First of all sorry for the very late response!
Regarding UNC path:
I cannot reproduce the problem at my university's computer. Thus I have no idea how to resolve the issue. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Regarding the update issue:
I just tried it myself. I went to the menu and clicked on "Check for update". Zotero found an update and automatically updated itself. Did you try it this way?
Hello,
I was excited to discover the PAF version of Zotero standalone, but the hosting page reports a 404. Is it possible to get a copy of a working portable version?
Thanks!
-Alex
Sorry for the inconvenience Alex!
I fixed the download link. Please try again.
Hi orshiro,
Thanks for making this! First of all, excuse my lack of technical lingo. I was reading this thread, https://portableapps.com/node/36546 and was wondering if you had already fixed the portable app version of Zotero so that it doesn't install the folder on the hard drive, but rather just in the portable folder.
Hi aanders8,
It is a long time ago that I worked on this app but I think it should be working. See my last commit on this:
https://github.com/orschiro/PortableApps/commit/bb61dec13a093330be815356...
Can you please test it and let me know whether it is working?
Cheers
Robert
