Firefox Portable not fully exit. Please help!!!

I had installed Firefox Portable in my USB drive. I am using Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 2 while running Firefox Portable.

My computer is only running Firefox Portable. Firefox Portable not fully exit after I press the close button. After I press the close button on the right top of Firefox Portable, then run Safely Remove Hardware before unplug my USB drive, an error message "the device ..... cannot be stopped right now. Try stopping .....". Then, I run Windows Task Manager and click the 'Processes' tab, I see that firefox.exe process is still running.

Why does this happen?

It's a FF bug

It's a big in Firefox itself. In the anti-phishing component. A known issue. It has to be fixed in Firefox. There's nothing I can do about it. You can disable anti-phishing by following the performance improvement directions on the Firefox Portable Support page.

Thanks!

Thanks. My problem had been resolved after disable the Anti-Phising feature.

And now, after closing Firefox Portable, I can unplug my handy drive safely without open Task Manager and close the firefox.exe process. My Windows will not show error message "The ... cannot be stopped right now..." anymore when running safely remove hardware wizard for my handy drive.

However, hope the developer can fix this bug without requiring users to disable the Anti-Phising feature.

Thanks to everyone for replying.

Thanks!
