File Storage Location With A Permanant Install OF FF 32 Portable

I am going to be doing a pc upgrade. Due to issues back in the days of Win 98, I have FF Portable 32 on an XP box as my default browser.

I need to copy the following files:

Bookmarks: (said to be) places.sqlite
Passwords: (said to be) logins.json and key3.db
Forms: (said to be) formhistory.sqlite

Running Windows search, for bookmarks & Forms all I can find is the basic Vanilla FF install & a Sea Monkey version. I can't find logins.json at all.

Can anyone help? I can't migrate to Win 7 or 8 until I get this figured out.

Get a flash drive

The easiest and simplest way is to get a flash drive and copy the entire FirefoxPortable folder onto it and when you are ready just copy it back to your pc. Since portable apps are designed to keep all your settings and personal info in the app folder, all of your bookmarks, forms and passwords will be intact.

default breaks all

The problem is that people who set it as their default browser break by that the portability completely and local profile is then used. This will then be in the appdata of the user logged in and no more in the data subfolder in the app itself.

Why someone want set a portable browser as default handler for something when this can be achieved much better with properly installed version?
