I am very grateful that there is the PortableApps.com updater to keep all my portable apps up to date.
However, time and time again I ask myself what is new, updated or fixed with the update, or what issue or security flaw is fixed. It would be really terrific if the the PortableApps.com updater could give us small release notes for each app update, kind of like the Apple Software updater does.

We currently have no plans to offer this. The base apps often make any changelogs difficult to locate, creating a new location for the change notes for every release they do. Most apps offer no changelogs at all or only vague 'bugs fixed' notes. As such, it will be quite a bit of effort for little to no benefit. And I'd have to do all the work to locate the information as I'm the one posting all the releases.
If it were a system where the publishers themselves were making the releases and entering in the notes, that would be fine. But it's not. So, it would be a ton of effort for very little reward.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
