Yawcam Portable 0.6.0 Dev Test 1

Application: Yawcam
Category: Graphics & Pictures
Description: From the publisher's website:
Yawcam is a shortening for Yet Another WebCAM software, and that's exactly what it is Wink
More precise Yawcam is a webcam software for windows written in java. The main ideas for Yawcam are to keep it simple and easy to use but to include all the usual features.

Yawcam is completely free to use!

Usability Notes: Yawcam relies on a Java installation to work properly. It will work with jPortable just fine. This app also relies upon Direct X 9+ and Windows Media Player 9+, which may limit the machines this will work on properly.

Permission Note: Explicit permission to package this app has been given. Please see the README to see the conversation.

Just to let you know, you

Just to let you know, you can't host freeware on Sourceforge. You will have to find another place to host this app, and any others you have up on Sourceforge that aren't open source.

Really?

Okay, thanks for the heads up. Maybe the original dev will host.

Yep, Sourceforge is only for

Yep, Sourceforge is only for hosting open source software. Doesn't matter that the Launcher etc. are OS, the base app also has to be OS.

You might also want to note that this requires Direct X 9+ and Windows Media Player 9+, as these are factors that make the app a little less portable.

Project moved

I forgot about my long-neglected MediaFire account, so this is my first application hosted from there. All links have been updated accordingly.

I didn't see this error before. Thanks. I'll look into it and probably post a new version soon.

JPortable

When I try to run it I get:

Please reinstall the application
---------------------------
Could not start the application

I do not have Java installed but I do have JPortable. Do I have to to tell the launcher to use JPortable somewhere?
