Emsisoft Emergency Kit is a very good program to have around for emergencies - as the name suggests. But it installs a driver:
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\LEGACY_CLEANHLP
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\cleanhlp
That LEGACY driver cannot safely be removed from the registry. Also the Windows registry editor will refuse to remove legacy entries (unless you trick it into doing so nevertheless). So the "perfect uninstall" which a portable app is expected to perform when it closes down would be a problem I think. I'm no expert, but I've done some reading up on legacy driver entries in the registry - and it seems to me something best left untouched.

I'd also want to know what it added to what we already have

it's kind of ClamWin and Spybot in one, with a very good detection rate.
It is in fact portable in its present form, as it can be downloaded from the web page - except for the legacy entries issue and a few further registry references to the cleanhlp driver. If you can live with that, there's no further reason to make it into a PortableApp.

Thank you very much for your reply , now I know it's not really portable
Emsisoft Emergency Kit 10 and higher is fully portable now. It doesn't leave any drivers behind anymore.
