Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
p.s. the file is rar'd to keep the download small
but I've been running 3.0 nightly builds for months ;), anyway I think you'll need permission to redistribute that as it has Mozilla logo's included.:(

I would say; To hell with the permission for redistribution, enjoy it anyway, you made a great job! Thank you!
We are trying to keep this site clean. If posters continue to post illegal software then it will be very hard to do that.
Please people. Keep it clean.

Can you please tell me how this is illegal exactly?
None of the mozilla sources have been changed - the only difference is the firefox directory has been updated.
http://www.mozilla.org/foundation/trademarks/policy.html
please note, the binary itself is unaltered - the zip file has been repacked to make it smaller - however the executables and all datafiles are unaltered. The firefox directory contained in the archive is that of a standard install.
You can distribute an unaltered installer of Firefox... the one Mozilla distributes... but that's it. For anything else, including repackaging or pre-installation of unaltered binaries, you need permission from Mozilla.

Hi John
Thanks for your reply. I really appreciate it.
Could you please explain how this is different from your version of firefox portable?? My gran paradiso release only contains the unaltered firefox folder - nothing else apart from your (wonderful) launcher.
many thanks & keep up the good work!
The difference is one: permission. After much negotiations, I have permission from Mozilla for the version I release. But, this permission does not extend to 3rd parties. Even if they don't alter Firefox or my launcher.
I'm packaging a community build branded version this week that can be used with self-compiled versions of Firefox (following the Community Edition branding) or with alpha versions that don't ship with the Firefox logos.

John's worked out a licensing agreement with Mozilla.
