AFAIK Portable Java is just that it is not JRE which is Java Runtime Environment

Not sure about the ramifications or if it works but what you would need to do is to run the javacpl file that is located in the commonfiles\bin directory

jPortable does not support the ability to add exceptions for insecure web-based Java apps.

Dragging up an old topic but...
I just want to be able to login to switches and SANs that require Java for their GUI's.
Is there some way I can tell Java these ARE trusted sites?

Open an Explorer window to PortableApps\CommonFiles\Java\bin (or PortableApps\CommonFiles\Java64\bin) and run javacpl.exe. This will let you change settings. Note that this will save things to the local registry on your current PC, it's not portable.
