VLC: How to downgrade or install night time installers???

Hello, the most recent version 2.2.0 VLC just makes me want to break my USB in half due to breaking m3u8 streams worser than before. How do you downgrade this? I have no idea and I can't find a place to download an older version. PLEASE HELP

fortunately, quite a few of the programs available here are downloaded via Sourceforge which tends to keep older versions,

and VLC is one of those Smile
