We have partially completed the Drupal 7 upgrade over the past 7 hours. We began working on it off hours on a Monday night at 10pm New York time, our slowest time of the week when standard support staff is available. The basic site is now available for use so users can continue to download software and use the forums.
Please note that some site functionality will be temporarily unavailable or partially functional:
App icons will not appear in the recently updated app list pages or inset on the homepageUser Badges in in profiles unavailableSubscriptions to forum topics may not currently be workingSome site elements may be slower than normal while a couple hundred thousand pages are rebuilt- Forum design incomplete;
Mark Read, badges temporarily disabled Returning to the page you were on after using the Login link in the upper right is temporarily disabled(login block in left sidebar now)
We'll be busily completing individual components of the site beginning Tuesday morning and continuing through the day. Minor updates will continue throughout the week. We'll be posting a more complete announcement with details on the site upgrade and the functionality it will enable us to roll out to everyone once the upgrade process is further along. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience during this busy and complex upgrade process.
Thank you for your support!

Mobile-Friendly
We're using a modified version of the Responsive Bartik theme that's part of the upcoming Drupal 8 release. It's mobile friendly but we're still tweaking how it works on smaller screens. Glad you like it
Love the new look! Nice and
Love the new look! Nice and modern!
Tracker
I've been trying to go with the flow as things change and I understand this is a moving target.
One thing that I really miss is tracker. I keep getting a screen that tells me that PortableApps.com will be right back.
Is it me, or is tracker on the "to do" list?
Huh?
I'm using the tracker right now. Do you mean the link in the left sidebar that says Recent Posts isn't working for you? I just verified that it works without being logged in as well.
Had the same
Until I cleared Temp, HIstory and cache e from browser and now back to what it was and became accustomed to
Tracker
Yeah, it was me.
Clearing the cache did the trick.
Now I'm a happy camper.
Thanks!
Cool, Changes
Glad to hear. I dug into it and it seems that the way the site served the offline page, some folks may wind up with it stuck in cache for up to 2 weeks. I've altered the custom offline process so that won't be an issue in the future and will be sending out a note about cache clearing via social media, etc shortly.
Thanks John
I personally appreciate all the hard work you have made and have been making for the program, site and the app world.
Me thinks we need a Nobel Prie for you
Thanks!
Thanks for the help, John.
Mark All Read?
You've crossed that out, so I'd assume it's working again, but I'm not seeing a button/link anywhere to do it (on the tracker page anyway). (I empty cache every time I close the browser.)
All in all I like the site update. The left sidebar seems overly wide, though; it takes up nearly a third of the page--and it's mostly empty space.
Forums Page
Mark All Read is on the Forums page in the dropdown. It's no longer available on Recent Posts.
Aha!
OK--I see it. Thanks. (I seldom go to the forum pages other than via the tracker--don't think I've ever used "Mark All Read" there.)
On the news page...
On the news page in the Title column you have the application icon and the title as the link to the news item, which contains a direct link to the application page (as always). How about making the icon a direct link to the application page instead? Thanks.
On the tracker page...
On the tracker page(s), how about appending "#forum-topic-top" to the Title links? (which takes you to the first post in a forum topic and gets ignored for the non-forum articles; or, of course, append to only the forum topic links (or, use "#main-content" instead)--just something to get you to where you wanted to go a little quicker w/o the constant scrolling down from ToP)
Minor
It's kind of a waste for a really minor scroll.
Not so much for me...
I can do it for my own use with a simple userscript (when I get around to it).
Thanks.
No Context
There's no context for it to be that. That information is not available from the Story object, so I'd have to manually enter it for each story. Stories will eventually be going away anyway in favor of a simple RSS feed of updated apps. Let's not discuss further as this is unrelated to this story topic.
