Unplanned, Changing URLS

Unlike Firefox which has a consistent URL for nightly builds, Chrome's Canary builds change URL all the time. So, unlike Firefox's nightly and Developer editions which automatically download the latest build every single time you install them (every day if you like to stay current), I would need to rebuild a Canary Portable release constantly.

Unplanned

As mentioned, we have no plans to offer a Canary build. The URLs used today are purposely obfuscated and change with every single release, so we'd have to build Canary portable every day, which would be a poor use of limited development resources. As Google Chrome is the most portable-unfriendly browser and a good chunk of features won't work without logging into Google anyway, the Development build is sufficient. If you wish to test out Canary, you should install the local version. It's a very different situation where our Firefox builds are used to shake out some bugs of the upcoming releases from Nightly.

Illegal Sites, Duplicate Postings

As mentioned earlier, we have no plans to offer a portable Canary. It would serve little purpose as Chrome is only barely/partially portable and the Chrome team wouldn't accept bug reports from our package anyway, which is the whole point of Canary. It would require a rework of the PA.c Installer and the PA.c Updater/App Store to add XML interpretation due to the ever-changing URLs that are designed to make it difficult to download. It's not difficult, but it would require additional development time and maintenance. Time that would be far better served elsewhere.

Please refrain from linking to and discussing illegal software sites that steal trademarks and software. Your duplicate post has been removed. Duplicate posting and linking/discussing illegal software is prohibited here.

Not Ours

We do not make a Canary build nor do we plan to, as already explained multiple times.

Google themselves pulls old versions from their servers, we do not control that.
