Crashy Lately

I've found the current version of Flash pretty crash-prone in local Firefox lately. I have to kill it about once a day as of late. I changed the timeout settings previously for it to be considered hung. I'll be changing them back soon.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

try disabling plug-in container

I'm assuming you already copied the Flash files to \firefoxportable\data\plugins
FlashPlayerPlugin_17_0_0_169.exe
NPSWF32_17_0_0_169.dll

Disable the Plugin-container and see if that helps.
1. Open Firefox
2. Type about:config in the address bar, press enter
3. In the Search bar, type dom.ipc.plugins
4. Double-click dom.ipc.plugins.enabled to set value false
5. If there are other dom.ipc.plugins.*.enabled entries, set them to false also

Flash is built into Chrome (pepperflash), so it's a different situation.

I have the same problem too.

I have the same problem too. My flash player is updated and i have both files FlashPlayerPlugin_17_0_0_169.exe,
NPSWF32_17_0_0_169.dll in plugins directory but it crashes on every web page that have flash. Also, plugin-container is disabled in about:config. I hope there is some solution for this.

Try running from hard drive

What kind of flash drive are you using (Make/Model)?

Try copying the FFPortable folder to the desktop and run it from there. If that works, then it might be an issue with your flash drive.
