It's working on Windows 8.1 x64 here. What OS, path, etc are you using? Did you try fresh install temporarily in your Desktop or Documents directory just to ensure it's not your settings?
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Windows 7 x64
I was using it straight from the USB drive where it installs on the platform.
I even tried downloading the zip from the author and it crashes too.
Given choices why choose one that hurts? I don't understand this. If it doesn't work move on and find one that does. Backups are too important for post event arguments
I checked it out in a clean VM install of Windows 7 x64 and it's starting up to the main window as expected. I also tried it on a clean Windows XP VM and it's working there, too. I checked out the EXE and it isn't set to require an VC++ runtime libraries.
Werfault.exe is the Windows Error Reporting tool, meaning that it is crashing for some reason on your machine.
You could try starting Windows in Safe Mode or without any of your usual startup programs running to see if something is conflicting.

Well if my computer is the only one it doesn't work on, then too bad, i'll use the other app.
It's weird that the previous version worked and not this one.
I have 2 windows updates that refuse to install, could that be related?

I moved on to FreeFileSync, but i had DSynchronize all set up, so it sucked that updating made it stop working.
What's the error message you get?

No error message.
I had to use System Explorer to see the processes appear and disappear with a Werfault process appearing also.

it is working on Win8.1 64 here, which may not help much.
if you rename your DSync dir and re-install DSync from scratch does that work ?

Why wouldn't windows report the error?
