Hi guys,
I'm new on this forum.
I have the following problem:
I uninstalled by mistake, firefox portable (portableapps is installed on a SD support), without making an esport of bookmark before.
Do you know how I can do to recover them?
Do you know some open source software to recover at least the file of bookmark (I think it's the file places.sqlite)
Any kind of help or suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks.
Stop using the drive immediately. Everything you write to it has a chance to overwrite your bookmarks.
Then, install something like Wise Data Recover to another drive: https://portableapps.com/apps/utilities/wise-data-recovery-portable
Use that to look for recoverable files on the drive.

Hi John,
First of all, thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately I didn't found nothing related to FireFox on my SD.
This my "mistake" has happened yesterday and, before to open this topic, I tried to recover the files by myself more than one time.
I think these tests have compromised the files on the SD card and then they cannot be restored.
If you've written other bits to the drive, there's a chance you could have already overwritten the relevant files. You did specifically look for places.sqlite right? Searching for "firefox" wouldn't find it.
Did you have a recent backup? Did you sync with Firefox Sync? If not, those are your best bets to avoid this in the future.
