Hi, everyone.
I am using Portable Firefox 1.5. When I run the program in maximized mode, I have a gray area below the status bar, about an inch and a half/4 cm high that greatly reduces the application's real estate. I can actually get the window much larger if I am NOT running maximized.
Can anyone tell me how I can get rid of this?
Thanks in advance!
This has been asked before.
Its either a corrupt profile or a extension

Hi. I don't doubt that it's been discussed before. I just couldn't come up with a description that would give me good search terms so I could find it. So I do appreciate your kind response.
Unfortunately, I still haven't been able to solve the problem. I renamed the Profile folder and it didn't help. So I uninstalled two of the three extensions I had installed. For some reason, I'm unable to uninstall the Copernic Desktop Search Toolbar extension. In any case, I do have it installed in the desktop version of Firefox, and it's fine there.
Does anyone have any other ideas?

It affects both the locally installed versions and the portable versions. It is either an issue with a 1.0 profile upgraded to 1.5 or an incompatible extension that was marked as compatible by the author without being thoroughly tested on 1.5.
Try disabling all your extensions and then restart a couple times.
As for issues installing extensions, see the Portable Firefox Support page for full details.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Thanks, John.
It may have been an upgrade issue. I had only installed three extensions and hadn't personalized it much, so just deleted the folder and reinstalled.
Everything looks good at this point.
Thanks for a great application!
