Okay, I'm new to this thing and I already love it. But I'm trying to figure out how to put other applications onto this program that aren't on the website. I read this page (https://portableapps.com/support/portable_apps_suite#addingapps) already but am still confused on how to do it.
Can anyone please make a step by step instructable list on how to put other apps onto it starting from downloading the "Installation File" of the application and ending in "The Program being On The Flashdrive Program" and being useable?
It will be awesome and truely great if someone did that for me.
Thanks,
Joe Fiore
Remember, if your app has several *.exe, they will all show up in the menu. Besides that, the programm is very likely to leave traces on the host machine. So if you dont want that and you're a lucky guy, someone already made a launcher (all the programms hosted here have one).

Hey, i tried it with a small alarm clock program and it worked. thanks man.
re "If you device is F:, then you put it into F:/PortableApps/" the readme says "By default, the program expects the following directory structure:".
"Defaults" are usually changeable but the readme also says "All configuration options are contained within the program itself".
How could I change the default and make it point to ../System/PortableApps ?

The readme says
Now, the directory of which it says (Usually the root directory...) can be placed everywhere.
Even in your system folder so you would have something like this:

I have to work on my formatting skills...
I forgot:
The Readme only says "root of your usb-device" as default because most people want to have their Portableapps in that place.
It is designed for this place but can be used in others too.
RM: could you fix the formatting??
I tried and gave up after 5 times

So it is all relative to the directory in which you put "StartPortableApps.exe"?

But now I cant edit my post any more.:O
I don't want to any way but it would have been nice looking at the source code.

That I changed.
Also, to write <, I write < which is itself written < so they can get confusing
