Hi all, i have found some errors with superscripts, in reality I can make superscripts.
For example I have the following expression
Ag^{}
and the result is correct except by an interrogation sign, i.e. I get g¿ as superscript, for me this is an indication than formula editor have something missing.
Any idea?
I use windows8.1, but I think this is not important

LibreOffice Portable 4.4.4 on Windows 8.1 and it's working here. I entered Ag^{a} and it correctly displayed the a as superscript. What version, install path, etc do you have? Anything that might interfere?

I try with letters and all was ok, but when I use the plus (+) or minus (-) signs as superscripts the described problem appears. I short I am using superscripts for ions in chemistry, such as Ag+

The same thing occurs on local. If I enter Ag^+, I get Ag a superscript + and then an upside down question mark.

Try Ag^{"+"} (with double quotes) to insert the plus sign. Otherwise, + is considered to be mathematical operator.
Edit: You can drop the braces. Ag^"+" is enough.
