PortableApps.com and The Document Foundation are proud to announce the release of LibreOffice Portable 5.0.0 Rev 2. LibreOffice Portable is a full-featured office suite -- including a word processor, spreadsheet, presentation tool, drawing package and database -- packaged as a portable app, so you can take all your documents and office suite wherever you go. This release fixes an issue with the app not running on machines missing a specific Visual C++ runtime. You can also buy it on a flash drive. LibreOffice Portable is packaged in PortableApps.com Format so it can easily integrate with the PortableApps.com Platform. And it's open source and completely free.
LibreOffice is packaged for portable use with permission and assistance from The Document Foundation
Update automatically or install from the portable app store in the PortableApps.com Platform. Platform users will get a small quick-install patch file.

Rev 2 Patch
For non-platform users that already have 5.0.0 installed and want to apply the smaller download patch that PortableApps.com Platform users will automatically get, please download the 5.0.0 Rev 2 patch file and do an in-place upgrade as you normally would when upgrading to a new version.
Old splash screen, broken link
Sorry, John, the "learn more" link does not work. And the graphic of the LO5 start screen has been changed.
Publisher Broke
Yeah, I noticed that the publisher messed up and killed an existing link that tons of sites use when they did a redesign. I let them know about it but they haven't fixed it yet with a redirect. I've updated the page to the new resource.
I think you mean the screenshot. It's been updated, but it's on a CDN and it will be cached for about a week or so.
