Updated to version 1.4. Feedback really welcome, would love to get ahead with our more complicated tools
I tried to test it yesterday and had to struggle with my antivirus guard (Anvira). I reported the false positive and their definitions were fixed this afternoon. Portablization seems clean, no leftovers. Its's not the most useful tool for my Win8.1 machine, but I'd definitely use it when I decide to upgrade to Win10 later this year.
If you plan updates with smaller build numbers , you should consider adapting the display version. Addtionally, using a four digit package version leaves little scope for package revisions. I had this problem with KiTTY and went over to adding a trailing number to the last digit (x.x.x.010 for x.x.x.01 first release, x.x.x.011 for x.x.x.01 revision 2 if needed). That's for the automatic updater to pick it up.
It is my understanding that Microsoft are patching in some elements of that into 8 and 7 via windows updates, so there may be room for that tool to cover those operating systems too.
If at first you do not succeed, use more sticky tape.
I've been maintaining several of your other tools for PA.c, so it's great news that you're looking to start making these packages official on your end.

@depp.jones: the last digit of the version number is increased automatically by our build system. Would prefer this to be the third instead of fourth digit. Thanks for the hint, the build number is not strictly necessary for the package version probably, so we can probablö adjust some.
@ByteMyAscii: indeed, some telemetry stuff comes in with Windows Updates. List entries will appear depending on the current OS.
@scriptdaemon: my respect for this! We're approaching it slowly, Anti-Beacon is a test so we can make things better with Spybot 3, which currently is taking up most resources. Your repository looks like a great resource to learn to me, I've seen how much special stuff there is in the Spybot files, for example

That's the local install version. The portable version is still at 1.4. As it is provided by the original developers, you could contact them directly (or via their forum).

I downloaded 1.5.0.35 from here: https://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=56
I got the message: SDCutTheLine.exe could not be found.
Anyways - as 1.4 downloaded from here works - all it takes to use the program is to press the Immunize button after every Windows Update, and that's it? (I'm on 7)
I have the same problem. I fixed it by renaming App\SpybotAntiBeacon\SDAntiBeacon.exe to SDCutTheLine.exe
It would be great to include a fix in the next version. Apart from that the application is working very well.
Only made this account to answer ur post . Go to F:\PortableApps\SpybotAntiBeaconPortable-safer-networking.org\App\SpybotAntiBeacon (replace it with ur location of spybotantibeacon destination) rename sdantibeacon.exe file to SDCutTheLine.exe (somehow the devs incorrectly renamed this file in v 1.5 ).Now u are good to go . Working fo me Win8.1 64bit (Yep this app supports win 7-10 and has nothing to do with this error)

If you go to this location, you'll see at the bottom of the page, a link for v1.6.0.42 Portable. It is in PAF format. It is from the maker of Spybot. They simply haven't updated the page at PortableApps.
