It has an Apache license that allows redistribution and modification.
It's definitely a schnazzy app, and the website is übercool.
Can it manage tasks as well as TaskCoach? Does it have a functional advantage?
Considering they have a 6-person team, each with a different superpower, it might be that they would consider producing a portable version on their own.
I made this half-pony, half-monkey monster to please you.

I looked into how it could be done anyway. Wunderlist is a custom nw.js (formerly nodewebkit) instance with some additions to package it. It's a web app with a browser, so it's not much different than running it in Chrome Portable or Firefox Portable. The customizations make portablization a bit more difficult than A Dark Room or 2048 (both of which use nw.js). Just adding this here in case someone gets their attention or wants to make a test package for themselves.
