Experimental, not suitable for daily use

The Windows build page specifically states

Please note that these packages are not yet suitable for daily use. They are meant as a proof-of-concept of work in progress.

As such it would not see official release until such a time as it is officially supported by the Krita devs, and unless a developer takes a real interest in doing this there may be no point to even posting a development test of this app.

Krita

That was over a year ago. Per the download page (http://kritastudio.com/desktop.html) "The current stable release is 2.8.2." And it's quite good.

As with some other apps I've

As with some other apps I've been using lately, I'd love to see Krita added to PortableApps.

I've copied my local installation to a thumb drive and it works perfectly fine. However, since the executable resides in Krita\bin, the PortableApps.com Platform doesn't see it.

Perhaps

You should look at what PortableApps is...Look at creating a launcher...Look at placing things in proper format then your goal is easily achieved

Coming this evening

depp.jones et al,

I'm rebuilding my previous dev test using an up-to-date copy of Krita. It should be up this evening.

[EDIT] Scratch that. I've got it built, but it's not quite working yet. I think I just need to set the working directory, which I'm going to try in the morning.

Thanks! I had a quick look

Thanks! I had a quick look yesterday, but wasn't able to pull the source code easily. I don't want to setup git just for that. Maybe linking to their site would be enough in this case. Wink

Calligra suite

It is strange that the Calligra Team didn't made a portable realeas as the Libre Office did… every module would be useable as a standalone app, Krita and Flow has now equivalents by their own.
