Registry on the USB Stick

Hello
I think there should be an App like the U3-Usb Sticks (but no depend on the hardware).
I don't now if this is possible but it would be a large step to Software on USB.
It could block the registry just for the programm you start with this Software and copy the registry entries in an .reg datei.
If this is possible, i think it would be an really good programm.
Thanks.

Please excuse my bad english i'm from Austria

Ceedo?

If you're willing to shell out $30 USD, Ceedo would be a good choice. Apparently it does something like this.

I'm trying to work on something like this already -- I just launched a blog and I'll post it once the bugs are worked out.

CEEDO

Ceedo is a really good Software, but it is not cheap.
If it is possible to build something like ceedo it would be great.
But, there should be a possibility to install the Programm you want.
Bsp. Start the install.exe file yourselve.

The installer would still need to be modified.

See, almost all standard installers add a registry entry under HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall, so they'd have to be adapted not to create that entry when installed portably. And at that point, you might as well just modify the application itself for portability.

Yeah... Unless a script

Yeah... Unless a script could be made that automatically modified the installer? That would be hell to program though.

P.S.: My blog is finally up. Go have a look!
