No,
this is not another post like "where is the next release of XY". I just want to suggest a update related page where you can have a look which launcher can still be used for newer / updated programs. Tested /maintained by some reliable folks which also have look at the registry!! (watch the lastest portable skype thread for this *gulp*). I think it would simplify things a lot when you know your launcher is still working fine without install / uninstall / backup / restore for every new version. I know in the apps forums are these hints hiding somewhere...but i guess for most people a new forum topic and/or page would be a lot easier and more helpful than searching all day.
Thanks for replies
I think an update page or something similar to the old home page would be a good idea.
I come daily to see if something has been updated, but I have to look in all the forums to find out, only to find out that nothing is being updated, except PAM.
PAM is nice and all that, but it seems to have become THE priority.
To me its the PortableApps themselves that I'm here for. If the PAM is not updated for another month or two I could care less. PAM is here, it works, now lets have updated apps. ClamWin is a good example. What do I care if I'm running it from the Latest, Greatest PAM when it's 2 versions old.

Things have got to get better, they can't get worse, or can they?
The simplest way is simply use the RSS feed.
If you don't want to do that, use a web based aggregator like my Lilina on a local web server (like Uniform Server).
If you really want a web-based way to read it, I could possibly set up a copy of Lilina just for updates...

Person 2: What?

In trying to set up the RSS feed I discovered the "news" page,
https://portableapps.com/news/
I did not know it was there. I will bookmark,
https://portableapps.com/news/updated_apps
of course it shows no apps updated since October 16, 2006 - 11:45pm.
Thanks Again,
Tim
