Yesterday I reported a problem with respect to Foxit Reader Portable 7.2.2.929. Probably no one has realised these posts. Therefore here the reminder to both posts language problems with Foxit Reader 9.2.2.929.
As I now have detected, the reason for my originally described problem is the fact, that the language files in the subfolders of the folder "lang" within the app Foxit Reader Portable are not current. Accordingly, I have downloaded from the website Language files for Foxit Reader these relevant language files and inserted into the respective sub-folders, which means I have the existing language files replaced by the current language files. After this procedure Foxit Reader starts correct with the same language as I have determined before in PA.com menu.
In summary this failure should be fixed in the next release or immediately.
They were current as of the day of releases of Foxit Portable according to the website based on the dates available. Note that the language website for Foxit is often out of date and language switching within Foxit itself is incredibly kludgey so this will re-occur.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
It may be that at the time of publication of the release were the language files up to date. However, this does not change the fact that these language files are now obsolete. Consequently, the release published here should be corrected in such a case for inclusion of the current language files.
The app itself appears to have broken its own internal language selection and updater as well, which was already the worst language switcher of any app we have and requires admin rights. We can't babysit an app like that alongside all the other apps. I'll either update it as time permits or switch it to English only as that's all it supports our of the box.

As tapsklaps mentioned, Foxit can switch to your preferred language, if you download a community provided translation (mts_lang_es_es.xml, for example, for Spanish os Spain), as the only official language file in Foxit Portable is English (lang_en_us.xml, without the prefix "mts_"). Yet the Windows installed Foxit has a dozen official language files besides the one for English, among them Latinamerican Spanish (lang_es_la.xml), German (lang_de_de.xml), French, Chinese, etc.
