I have portableapps instaled on my hard drive and on a usb drive. I've recently noticed that is I check for updates on the hard drive
installation of Portable Apps, the updates are detected, dolwnloaded and installed...but the usb drive installation does not detect the updates.
Is there a setting that forces portableapps to look only at the drive where I start it?

The installs are entirely separate. If you for some reason renamed the PortableApps directory or renamed any of the app directories on your USB, it won't find updates.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
hmmm....I think the problem is this
On the hard drive I have all the portable apps stored in c:\pendrive\portableapps, and on the usb drive everything is in g:\portableapps
I lost the usb drive, so formatted another one can copyed everything form c:\pendrive to g:\
What should/could I have done?
