Not sure what's happening exactly, but Atom portable fails to open for me. I get the "dev" splash screen and I see it pop up in the task manger, but crashes before opening.
It's installed in the basic place on the drive, nothing funny there.
Thoughts?
Have you tried Dev Test 1 or 2? Dev Test 1 (Download) is without compression, could you try this version?
It is working on my test machines (Win7 and Win10). What windows version do you use?
I was using Dev test 2, I believe. I'll confirm and try the other if needed.
Machine is a Win 7 Pro laptop, but is a work computer (I was just putzing around), so I'll also take a look on my home Win 10 desktop.
Dev Test 1 worked fine on the laptop (work machine - Win 7). Came right up no issues. Checking both on my home machine (Win 10) now.
Interestingly, I couldn't get either one to work on the Windows 10. With these, no splash screen or anything. I couldn't even find AtomPortable.exe in the process list, though the system wouldn't let me delete that file until after a full-reboot.
I tested it on Win7, Win81 and Win10 but could not reproduce the error you described. It works perfectly well...
Hmm. Well, guess we'll wait for other testers. For me, Atom is a curiosity to see if I want to replace some of what I use, so not much of a worry on my end. Thanks.
Tried it on my laptop (Windows 10 Pro 64bit) and it's not working either, I think I'm getting the same problem as @youngheart80 - the dev splash screen is showing but then nothing else happens. Atom.exe does appear momentarily in Task Manager but then disappears.
It works for me on Win7 x64.

Thank You.
Hey man, awesome work!
Is it possible that you could also include the x64 version in this?
Edit: Any news on when this might actually make it into the PortableApps library?
It seems development has halted on this program somewhat. I have uploaded a copy of the newest version.
