I have added a category to the menu which I know longer use, I assume the set up info is in a file somewhere but can not find it.
Why are the categories held so I can remove it.

Any apps you have in that category, just move them to something else, even Other. Once the category is empty, it automatically disappears.

but how could I remove an unused/deprecated category from the selection list?...
because when the last app is moved to other category, the obsolete category remains in the list.....
if there are not anyhow to do that, should consider add a feature to edit the categories or
it self-deletes after removing last app from it......

I'm using the latest Platform. Redundant categories I once created but which I no longer want are NOT disappearing form the category list.
How can I delete them?
