I've searched but can't find the answer, hence this topic.
When I start Firefox by clicking on the icon everything is fine, but if I open a link from email Firefox starts with the default profile. all my settings and bookmarks are missing. I have to first start Firefox myself, then click on the link in email in order to keep my profile. How can I have Firefox Portable always start with my profile?

No one else is having this issue? No one knows what I can do to fix this? I've found it too annoying so I'll have to migrate to another browser if there is no fix.
If you've associated Firefox to open links, Firefox itself and not the portable wrapper gets associated. You need to associate them to FirefoxPortable.exe

I have the same problem too but I cannot understand your answer. Would you mind elaborating (I'm a bit dim with computers).
