Can you make your xxxxPortable.exe a larger icon? 256*256 or larger? Or at least make the exe file editable so I can replace the icon with my own~

It varies by app. The majority of apps don't have a 256px icon available. Quite a few only have 48px and smaller. A handful only have 32px. These are from the source apps. Most of the 3rd party icons available that are larger aren't licensed for use in the actual app.
The Portable.exe launcher will never be editable by design for security reasons. It prevents infection and tampering.

Hi, I am using your portable chrome and I find it works very well, but the icon is not beautiful. It will be perfect if the icon is changed to 256px in the next release. The origin big chrome icon is in chrome.dll and there is no need to use a 3rd party one. Thank you~
Our of curiosity, what are you using that even displays the 256px icons? Or are you using Windows 10 at high DPI?

But, the small icon has a frame which makes me a little uncomfortable. http://imgur.com/ZQkW1A6
Also, I set GoogleChromePortable.exe as my default internet browser, and this icon will appear more in my system, as some file type icons. Using big icons may increase file size a little, but really helps those people who like neat and beautiful system.
