As the subject says, I've been unable to download updated versions of many portable apps as the anti-virus blocks it. The list of apps affected is:
- Foxit Portable
- Geany Portable
- Google Chrome Portable
- Peazip Portable

Is there something that can be done about this given that in my case, disabling the anti-virus is not an option?

I already answered you in your other thread here: https://portableapps.com/node/53809

The answer is the same for all of them. They are all clean, every antivirus says they are all clean. McAfee's heuristic detection (aka guessing) is horribly broken and shouldn't be used. If your company forces you to use it, you will have to submit every app to McAfee and hope they manually whitelist it.

I can only report detections as shown in Virus Total (detections in McAfee proper). Heuristic detections can only be reported by McAfee paid customers as far as I know.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
