Skype doesn't remember language settings

Why Skype doesn't remember language settings? I want the interface language to be english. Any way to make it remember the settings so i don't have to switch the language every time i start Skype?

System

Skype gets its language from the system settings. Specifically the ANSI language setting which may be different than your Windows UI setting. Skype will not remember the setting between sessions due to bugs in the way it handles the command line switch to point to settings.

Is it possible to make some

Is it possible to make some changes in the registry that will switch the language to english automatically when Skype starts? I have Windows 7.

System Language Settings

John's original response indicates that Skype (as programmed by Microsoft which now owns Skype) looks to the System Language Settings rather than the Windows Language settings. If that's the cause of the 'problem' you've experienced then try this guide: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/ff715473.aspx?f=255&MSPPErro...

I presume your Windows setup is set to English if that's the language you normally use, but see this Microsoft guide if you are unfamiliar with how Windows Language Settings are managed: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows7/install-or-change-a-display-...

There are many other unofficial 'guides' on the internet if you prefer using independent resources in preference to Microsoft Guidance.

My Region and Language

My Region and Language settings are: for Formats it is English (Unated States), for Location it is Unated States, but for Administrative the settings for 'Current language for non-unicode programs' is not set to english and because of this skype doesn't start with english as default language. But i can't change this settings because the text in some programs doesn't display correctly on my native language, for example, subtitles for a movie.

Skype settings

Sorry, but only Microsoft's Skype development Team can deal with such issues as Skype is Microsoft owned software and it cannot be changed by anyone else.

Another Movie Player?

By accommodating the broken movie player, that's what's messing up Skype. Have you thought of trying another movie player so you could set the OS non-unicode language to English and still have subtitles in the language of your choice in movies? VLC, SMPlayer, MPC-HC for instance?
