eyeBeam portable VOIP

Hi everyone,

Just thought i'd post here that i've managed to make a portable version of eyeBeam 1.5.6.1, the VOiP software (http://counterpath.com/) using Klonk's fantastic "Portable Application Template 1.3". The only thing it leaves behind are two empty folders in $profile/Local Settings/Application Data; CounterPath\RegNow Enhanced. If anyone is intrested i can post the .nsi Smile

Well

To clean it up, why don't you delete the folders after you run?

Fixed it

yep, was doing that, but didn't realise that i could place folders in folders and still work.

Now works without a hitch and leaves no entries!

here you go

no problem, just use Klonk's great Portable Application Template (https://portableapps.com/node/2022) and add the following settings for the regkeys and settings dirs. Then all you need to do is copy the eyebeam directory into the the portable app directory, simple.

If you want to keep all your current eyebeam settings, just backup the counterpath directory, which you should find in the following directory (or just do a search):
C:\Documents and Settings\"username"\Application Data\CounterPath

!define REGKEYS "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ESENT\Process\eyeBeam||HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\CounterPath"
!define SETTINGSDIRS "$PROFILE\Local Settings\Application Data\CounterPath"

Not quite understanding?

New to all this and not quite grasping the idea here.
Does anyone have all this together thee could zipup and email to me?
excluding the contents of the counterpath program, delete its contents I can add my own
dir contents from the eyebeam program.

Maybe then i will have an idea in more detail....
This is one program I really would like working from my usb stick..
Thanks if you could help??
