GoodSync portable?

Has anyone had experience in installing GoodSync on a flash drive with the PortableApps suite? I tried the GoodSync installation myself, but the results were not what I wanted. I assume it can be done since RoboForm sells a USB drive containing installed versions of both RoboForm2Go and GoodSync.

I can direct the install to the PortableAppsMenu folder, but it puts a program group in the host pc Start menu (default) and adds a couple references to the registry HKEY_USERS \ MUICache (path it was installed from). I've read where some apps can be installed to the host pc and then copy the program folder from the host to the PortableAppsMenu folder. Would that process work in this case? I don't think my autorun.inf would need modifying for this program...just in case, here's what it currently looks like:

[AutoRun]
open=PortableRoboForm.exe
action=Launch RoboForm2Go
shell\RoboForm2Go=Launch RoboForm2Go
shell\RoboForm2Go\command=PortableRoboForm.exe

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Update:

I've opened a support ticket with GoodSync asking basically the same questions.

The directory structure for the GoodSync install is not easily added to the PortableAppMenu:

C:\Program Files
     \Siber Systems
          \Good Sync
              \Bin
              \Languages
              \Skins

The executable is in the Bin folder so I have no idea how/if this can be incorporate into the PortableAppMenu.

Any ideas to make this work would be appreciated, or recommendations for a different portable synchronization app. I've been searching without much success.

Thanks,

GoodSync can be found at

GoodSync can be found at http://www.goodsync.com/
If you want to make it portable,..
Download Universal Extractor
Just google it.
Use it to extract the files from goodsync.exe
Copy the extracted {app} folder to your portable apps folder
Rename it to something like GoodSync.
Use the instructions here
https://portableapps.com/node/4742
to make a quick and easy launcher to work with PAM

As for the MUICache entries, I am pretty sure that is windows doing that(keep track of files you open/launch) and not the goodsync app.

Universal Extractor didn't work

on the GoodSync.exe I got pop-up box saying "syncappw.exe cannot be extracted. Filetype returned was: Microsoft Visual C++ v6.0 DLL* Click OK if you want to analyze the file yourself, OR Cancel to exit."

Thanks anyway for the reply and links. I'll keep looking for a portable synchronization app. There's one at sourceforge.net called FullSync that looks interesting.

Thats odd, I just tried it

Thats odd, I just tried it again, and Universal Extractor worked perfectly using Inno Setup Extraction.

Has anyone noticed

that GoodSync looks very similar to AllwaySync (http://allwaysync.com/index.html)?
