Is there any way to speed this program up? I ran Norton along side of Clamwin and Norton moves so fast it makes Clamwin appear to be standing still. I'd also like to know why we haven't seen any more new programs added to this site lately. I remember seeing an emulator section on here once but I never saw anything in it.
is because John is a very busy man, donating some of his time to develop apps, he doesn't just run them through a program.
Also, are you using the latest version which was released today?

Could be something to do with the fact that you pay for Norton's!!!!!!!
What do you mean?

You are right. Norton is not a free softwere! Our ClamWin is a nice free version, we must learn although free softwere is not the best, it doesn't spend us any money. I like it very much.
Every one has a preference with what anti-virus software they use whether it's a paid version like Computer Associate, McAfee, Symantec, or any others. There are people who feel that Norton is the way to go, but another would say McAfee. It's a personal preference, and nothing more.
Yes you get what you pay for even if it is nothing like ClamWin, AVG, Avast! or even AntiVir. Sometimes it's good to have multiple software like I do for looking for spyware, but obviously you cannot install two separate anti-virus programs on the same computer. Things like Norton AntiVirus will always be running unless you turn it off. I'm not sure if scanning with the Portable ClamWin would run slowly when NAV is running in the background so long as it isn't scanning the entire hard drive like you want to with Portable ClamWin.
Umm you ran both at the same time? I cannot be 100% sure on this, but Norton very likely took priority over ClamWin which allowed to to be speedier. But things to note is that:
1) you ran two scanning tools at the same time...
2) one program will very likely take priority...
Well, really those are the two that pop out in my head...
And you forgot that ClamWin is running from your Thumbdrive... not your HD...

Should I have a signature?
