PortableApps (currently version 13.0) starts very slow when I start it the first time after a reboot of my computer.
It takes more than 25 seconds, till the apps appear in portable apps window.
When I stop PortbleApps and start it a second time (and third time or even more often) without rebooting my computer inbetween, it takes only less than 2 seconds till apps appear.
What is the reason for this behaviour? I have switched off searching for updates, all of my apps and PortableApps platform are current versions.
How can I achive, that PortablaApps starts faster even the first time after reboot?
My OS is Windows10 Pro x64, RAM 16GByte, OS and PortableApps are started from SSD.

When started, the platform indexes the apps you have installed. After the first time, most of the details on these files is cached by Windows, so it will start fast a second time. Things that can affect startup time include (1) number of apps, (2) number of non-PA.c Format apps as these need icons pulled from EXEs, (3) antivirus as some will slow down EXE access tremendously.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
John, thank you for your explanation. With this I could speed up start significantly. I split up my PortableApps installation into 2 installations, one with very often used apps, the second containing apps which I do not use so often.
