make 2.0.04 portable?

Hi!
Currently using Outlook Express under XP; being obliged to change OS, I am thinking to use Thunderbird; two needs:

1. I have all my OE mail (folders / account/ etc) in an encrypted file I carry on my keyring-attached USB drive, so I can use all of my mail at home, office, everywhere...

2. I only like Thunderbird 2.0.0.4; (tried newer version and didn't like them).

How can I make the same life with Thunderbird?

Thanks everyone Smile

Completely Insecure

Thunderbird 2 is completely insecure at this point and absolutely should not be used. Please use the modern version with appropriate theme, about:config tweaks, and extensions to suit your needs.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Thank you very much, John; so

Thank you very much, John; so my question becames -if I'm correct- "how can I do the same thing I'm doing with OE using the latest Thunderbird? Do I need Thundrbird Portable or are there other options to use an installed Thunderbird?"

Thank you in advance Smile
