I would like to raise a point for discussion.
It started on a different thread but it belongs here.
The current policy (Or at least the way I understand it) of PortableApps is to support applications if and only if they have 32 Bit version.
Lately, as in any progress, there are some great applications which are, to begin with, 64 Bit only.
I suggest that the policy will change to include applications which are 64 Bit only (With a warning for the user that those won't work on 32 Bit version).
Because the way I see it, this is not about Portable Applications which work anywhere but on having Portable Apps you need.
I for instance use PortableApps instead of installing, this keeps my system tidier and faster (I only install Office, besides that works only with Portable Application hence my system runs for years with no need for format).
This is the logic which leads me to the idea that PortableApps should just supply any application it can.
Moreover, for applications which have both 32 and 64 Bit versions, the user will be able to chose which one to install (Instead of both as currently done in some cases).
It won't change anything for those who wants 32 Bit applications.
It will only expands the number of applications in this great format and will let advanced user to configure things according to his thoughts and best understanding.
Thank You.
