Other Notes:
This is a continuation of DylanTheSoldier's Dev Test
my settings all got blown away i thought. but it turns out it just has all the settings and profiles now being saved onto my harddrive...... and i can't figure out where it's storing the plugins now. ok found them. they're now in app on the flashdrive instead of data
I am so sorry I messed it up. Unfortunately I missed to activate the portable mode. It should be fixed now. I recommend to do a fresh install.
see Release Notes
Its amazing!! works great.
Note - I haven't had a chance yet to run this through its paces yet.
With that said, one thing I noticed on install: As this is GPL2-licensed, it is not necessary to have the EULA agreement pop up. It is sufficient to have the license available in the package.
for the feedback. I wait for another release to change it
I now know why I did it because there is a license pop up at the very first start. So do I add mine again and leave it disabled?

thank you for doing this.
works perfectly on my desktop... not so much on my girlfriend's laptop. could it be because the laptop processor is an APU? A8-4500M, for the record.
Is it a 64-bit OS? If yes you could try running the 32-bit version of OBS. You go to the OBSPortableLauncher.ini in App/AppInfo/Launcher and modify two lines:
Otherwise you should search for help in the OBS forum.
it is indeed 64-bit OS. and you know what? i just remembered that it's OBS studio that doesn't play well with her laptop. obs64.exe doesn't work at all... produces some MSMVC.dll(sp?) error. and obs32.exe produces very jittery video, no matter what settings i choose.
classic works fine. i think i'll have a crack at portablizing classic if you don't feel like it. would be my first app... maybe you would be quicker.
thank you for the wicked response time, and sorry for cluttering up your thread... but i suppose it's good for people to know they might run into problems and that it is the app's fault, not yours. i'm assuming you're just porting stuff. i'll make a github issue. thanks again.
ok... apparently, i've already done it!
now i just need to figure out how to port it to the portableapps.com format. not too familiar with NSIS, etc.
any tips?
Same problem here: portable will not work with win 64-bit.
Tried to change the 2 lines suggested to make it work with 32bits, but got the error: "Could not find any D3DCompiler libraries".
I´d like to try your "classic" portable version.....
Thanks in advance
Update base app + new appicon
I also released a Development Test of the OBS Classic. Go check it out
downloading classic now!
heads up, the link for studio on this page is still:
"Download OBS Portable 0.15.4 Dev Test 1 [40.9MB download / 177.9MB installed]
(MD5: 30077d6a4dbbd5c59bccd064ccb4a5f8)"
it's updated on the sourceforge page though, so i just downloaded it from there.

How is it compared to the non portable version, any missing features?
It has all the same features as OBS, plus, it leaves no personal information behind on the machine. E.g. settings are stored within the app. You can find them in
OBSPortable\Data\config
Very good, will this be added to the portable apps launcher, so that it can be automatically updated like the apps within the portable apps launcher can be? Eg Firefox, Chrome ect
Or if not, is it possible to update the portable version when a new version is released here?
As long as it's in Dev Test you can just install it over the old install.

Hi mwayne,
I have created a portable installer of the browser source plugin for your OBS Portable:
https://portableapps.com/node/56173
Maybe you want to test it and/or mention it in your main post.
