Problem with Apps

I am using windows 8, 63 bit with the portable app installed in a folder on the desktop and is a brand new version created on 14.1 with exe disabled and firewall/antivirus running. When trying to install the apps from store it says successful and completed but the apps do not appear anywhere on the computer or in the portable apps menu. The manually downloaded apps crash after booting the app. Currently am using the files as bat due to problems with security settings with the exe.

If I understand correctly

You have a windows 8/'64 bit operating system and have the PA platform 14.1 installed to your desktop?

You installed apps yet they do not appear in the Portable apps menu?

If you open the folder installed in then the folder PortableApps do you see any sub folders? As that is where they should install to.

Bat?

To follow up on what vf2nsr said - Are you converting the apps to BAT files? If so, that'd be why they aren't showing up on the menu - the PortableApps.com Platform currently only supports displaying .exe's.

Typo and New Question

Sorry about the confusion. I am running 64 bit version for windows (typo). I did rename the files back to exe that were originally bat. Some of the programs do work now. If you have the app within a folder inside a folder like this path: "C:\*******\Portable_Apps\PortableApps\Folder1\Folder2\Program.exe" Can you make the exe still work or display on the menu while keeping it inside the folder2 instead of having it in folder1? Also is jars supported or only exe programs?

When I meant by exe disabled

When I meant by exe disabled I meant that any program in the format of exe will not run with a couple of exceptions such as internet and now for some reason portable apps launcher. Not sure what is causing this to happen though.
