VeraCrypt doesn't mount selected volumes upon logon

It seems like VeraCrypt of PortableApps does not "Mount selected volume upon logon".
However the portable version of VeraCrypt does this without problem if this options is set.
So something seems to be wrong with the PortableApps version of VeraCrypt.
If would appreciate if this could be fixed.

Windows Logon?

Do you mean at Windows logon? If that's the case, then that's not a portable feature, it's an installed software feature. It's likely related to the bug in VeraCrypt's portable package that leaves a broken shortcut behind on every PC you run it on. This bug is corrected in the VeraCrypt Portable package by removing it on exit.

If you want something to integrate directly with Windows, it's best to use the installed version of the app. Even if you use their portable version in the fashion you'd like, it's operating like an installed version.

Yes, I mean at Windows logon.

Yes, I mean at Windows logon. This works in VeraCrypt's portable mode when its files are only extracted.
How does PortableApps prevent this behavior?

Don't use the PAF

The simple answer is don't use the PAF. The PAF version has a separate set of settings. If you associate it with Windows login, you're associating Veracrypt itself and not the VeraCrypt Portable launcher. So it would have different settings.

If you want to use that feature, I'd suggest just using the installed version since that's an installed feature. Or their portable package, since it exposes that installed app feature in their semi-portable version.

Ok, but why can we not have

Ok, but why can we not have the original VeraCrypt Portable launcher with all its features?
I don't need the PartableApps launchers, since I add my Apps directly to the Windows task bar.
The only reason for me to start PortableApps is to update or install Apps and not to launch them.
I think the PortableApps launcher should not replace the original launcher if it prevents some functionality of the App.

Different Settings

VeraCrypt uses different settings when run directly by Windows and won't store its data in the correct location for use with the PortableApps.com Platform. So attempting to integrate it won't work.

If you want to integrate an app with Windows login and Windows encryption - something that makes an app non-portable - use their installed version or their semi-portable zip file.

What's the problem with semi

What's the problem with semi-portable zip files?
Can PortableApps not use such semi-portable zip files to achieve the original behavior?

Semi-portable zips

Semi-portable zips are fine if you know what you're in for and read up on the specific app. Updating is a pain and automating it would have a high likelihood of wiping out your settings (lots of devs change the format often and will sometimes include default settings that wipe out your existing settings if you just unzip over your current install). Plus, things often break as you move around. VeraCrypt's zip will lose track of a bunch of stuff as its path changes. Things like your favorites, key files, etc will be lost if you sync from PC to PC with Dropbox or similar due to path changes.

PortableApps.com Format apps are standardized and follow a specific format. Data is always in the same place. They always update the same way. They switch language with the platform. They're super simple to backup your data and settings from. They take less bandwidth to download. They verify their own integrity when they're downloaded. They're fully portable including path changes. And more: https://portableapps.com/about/what_is_a_portable_app#whypaf

So, for your specific question here, if you want to use it just on this one PC, use either the installed version of the semi-portable zip version. It will suit your needs just fine. The only negative is that it won't be automatically updated by our platform and you won't have its settings backed up when you use the platform's data backup.
