Eraser Portable 5.8.8.1 - Doesn't Remember Preferences: Erasing Settings

Eraser Portable 5.8.8.1
(Based on) Eraser v5.8.8

Hi,

If I press the Ctrl+E hotkeys then I get presented with a dialogue to set "Preferences: Erasing". On the Files Tab of that dialogue I select "Pseudorandom Data". And that is what used to erase once I click the OK button. Fine. The problem is that Eraser Portable doesn't remember this setting after I exit the program. Every time I launch Eraser Portable I have to re-do that setting. Is there a way to get Eraser Portable to remember this setting between sessions of use? (If not can someone please fix this, what seems to me, bug.)

The same kind of thing happens on the "Unused Disk Space" Tab. If I change the setting it does not get remembered between sessions. Again, it would be helpful if this was fixed.

App Itself

It's a known bug within the app itself. You have to select it each time.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Thanks for the inf.

Guess it's manually reset each session then. :0(

Use Portable Apps on both Flash Drive and HDD/SSD.

Wrote and Compiled a Script to Do This Automatically

I wrote and complied a script to automatically make this setting when EraserPortable.exe is launched using the compiled script. To download and test the script go here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/hllry3t8ks4sdu1/LaunchEraserPortable.zip?dl=0

The script can be modified to suit what file erase setting you prefer yourself. Details on how to do this are in the PDF file in the zip file. Hope someone finds the script useful. :0)
