Firefox detects no new updates

HI @all,

I have installed Firefox on several PC´s. These PC´s are all clones of each other.
On some PC´s Firefox automatically detectes an Update and askes if it should be installed.
But on some PC´s Firefox doesn´t detect an Update. In the Menu "About Firefox" it checks for Updates and says that Version 47.1 or 48.2 is newest and no Update is availible. The actual Version is 49.0.
How can i fix this ?

but from version 47.1 to 49.0

but from version 47.1 to 49.0 there was no update to 48.1 and 48.2 and also 49.0. I think there was enough time to find an update

Portable?

Did you install Firefox Portable on these imaged PCs or regular Firefox?

I'd like to join this discussion.

I'm also currently stuck on FF 47.0.1 (Win7 64 Pro).
It says no update available.
For testng, I manualy updated (downloaded the FF Portable 48.exe) a copy of my FF Portable and now with FF48 it also can't find an update for FF 49.

Tested even more...
Everytime Before I update my FF to a Full new version (44 to 45 etc.) I make a Backup and save them.
So I went back to my backups (in this case random FF43) and started the inbuilt updater.
It updates all the way to FF47, after that, it detects no newer version....

Hopefully this issue can be solved...

Firewall?

Are you behind a corporate firewall or similar that could impact it? Or a software firewall?

Note that the portable launcher does nothing to interfere with update checks. Those are entirely within Firefox itself (their code communicating with their servers). If it's not working, it's not something we can fix on our end.

In my case, i'm behind a software firewall.

Turning it off doesn't make a difference for me.
I'm wondering, why I receive updates until FF 47.0.1 (with an older copy) and then no updates from there on...
Something must have changed...

After further testing, I

After further testing, I think John is right, it's not a FF Portable issue.

First installed a new FF Portable with the 47.0.1 portable exe - no newer version found.
Then installed a new regular FF (non-Portable) with the 47.0.1 regular exe - also no newer version found.

Checked then at a german firefox forum (camp firefox) and there are others that are stuck on older versions.
Talk there is, maybe the release update channel is currently off or broken.
