Hello,
Like I said in the subject, Openshot Video Editor is out for Windows.

This is a Beta release but I think it's a good thing if it can be in a near future a portable app.
As you say, it's a beta. As such, it's not able to be released officially by us yet, However, we are watching the project, and are interested in it once it is out of beta.
Ok, I"m happy, thanks a lot !
This is now out of beta.

Interesting app. I'd like to try this out for a spin. I could also help out with any portable app testing for this.
I would like to add my vote for this. I've been waiting for a portable Windows video editor (other than avidemux) for a very, very long time.
Have you seen my Development Test of Shotcut?
OpenShot is out of beta and I've heard from a fellow portable dev that the publisher is interested in a portable package.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
I was looking into this app again today.
Unfortunately, although OpenShot is no longer in beta, it is only available for x64 architectures.
My current recommendation is to use mwayne's Dev Test of Shotcut instead, which is a (massive!) dual-mode app.
... very much
...for both the OpenShot project and for PortableApps.com. What are we waiting for?
+1 to add this to our amazing website portfolio!

See my previous comment here.
A lot of newer apps I've seen doesn't have 32bit support anymore though. Will Papps be more lenient towards 64bit apps on the future?
Also I've been trying out OpenShot for a while now and while it's good for basic video editing it's incomplete in many ways (lacking transformation tools). I was going to bring up Kdenlive (kdenlive.org) as a possible Papps candidate/alternative to Openshot, but again it's only 64bit.
There are hardly any apps that are 64-bit only. Even when it does happen, it's usually because developers build the 64-bit version and later the 32-bit version.
It's not a very good idea for a developer to only support 64-bit today. The new ARM-based Windows laptops that debuted this year from HP, ASUS, Lenovo, etc will only run 32-bit x86 apps. 64-bit x86-64 apps are not supported under Windows running on ARM processors.
That said, we'll likely be adding 64-bit only apps as Advanced Apps alongside .NET apps in the app directory, so they won't be listed by default but end users can enable them.

It's very simple: if the system is 64-bit, display x64-only apps, mark somewhere as such.
It's not a deal breaker, just like lack of Win XP support isn't.
I'd say 64-bit-only programs are almost as rare as 32-bit systems and Windows on ARM systems combined.
There now appears to be a 32-bit version.

Could making a portable app be reconsidered?
I've posted a development test of OpenShot: https://portableapps.com/node/59167
Feel free to try it, let me know if there's any issues.
Some things to note:
[EDIT] Actually, the language switching and path setting doesn't seem to be working correctly - I'll keep working on it.
