Adding Other Apps not working

The instruction here is not working: https://portableapps.com/support/platform#addingotherapps

See screenshot here: http://imgur.com/a/6ZmVp -> apps are where they are supposed to be, as instructed above, but how ever much I select "Apps | Refresh App Icons", the apps do not appear. Restarting PortableApps and booting don't help either.

Funnily, Greenshot is actually a paf version (dated 22 Nov 2016), but still not appear in the menu. PortableApps is whatever is the newest downloadable today.

Cleaner, FormatFactory and Keepass are all also portable apps, even if not in PAF format.

Could you please either fix the menu or update the instruction?

The system is Windows 10 64-bit.

The apps need to be inside the PortableApps folder, next to the folder named PortableApps.com. If you move them there, then they should work.

Yes, it worked. Great.

Yes, it worked. Great.

The instruction is confusing saying to put the apps "next to" the PortableApps.com directory, when instead they need to go inside it.

Thanks

It says that it goes inside the PortableApps directory, next to the PortableApps.com directory. The confusion on was due to the fact that you created another PortableApps directory yourself that contains the PortableApps directory.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Okey. Anyway, in my opinion,

Okey. Anyway, in my opinion, the instruction could be simpler.

Another challenge for which googling produces no result: how to remove individual helper apps from the Menu? Specifically helper exe's which are and must remain the the application folder. The menu lists them all and the menu lists becomes very long, with all kinds of unnecessary stuff.

There is this discussion without a solution, cannot find anything since: https://portableapps.com/node/14404 -> in the discussion someone suggest moving the exe's out from the PortableApps directory because then the main exe no longer finds them.
