Can't install anything

So I tried installing the latest version of Portable Apps on my 32GB brand new flash drive with no result. It always shows an error. I thought I'd install each application individually, cause I don't really need the platform but I was wrong again. The only one I have managed to install in KeePass. I've also tried Mozilla, VLC, 7-zip and LibreOffice and they always give me an error too, for example 7-zip gives "Error extracting 7-zip.dll" or something similar. Any ideas?

Exact Error

First, please provide the exact error message.

Second, please try installing the platform temporarily to the local PC (just the Desktop directory is fine) to rule out issues with your PC.

Third, unfortunately, the most likely culprit is the drive. What kind is it and where did you get it?

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

First time, I tried to

First time, I tried to install on the root of the drive and I can't remember the exact error. Now, trying to install it inside another folder (eg. U:\My Files\) gives me this: Extract: error writing to file eject.exe. Weirdly enough it can install on the root of the drive now, though. I thought trying to install the applications on the root would be fine then. But instead I got "Extract: error writing to file D3DCompiler_43.dll" when trying to install Firefox. Applications perfectly install on my desktop (I didn't try the platform cause I don't really need it anymore, the applications alone do the trick for me).Lastly, the drive is an unbranded drive I bought on Ebay, but don't be quick to judge it cause I had no trouble installing the platform and the applications on another unbranded usb drive from Ebay and it run flawlessly.

This indicates a faulty drive

This indicates a faulty drive. To rule that out, you could test it with a tool like h2testw (https://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=1519).
