Links within the launcher to other apps

There are quite a few other apps which are already portable, but not a PA.com app. Since I don't exactly know how to create apps (and don't want to, actually. Some manage to update themselves and PA'ing them would most likely destroy that), I'd like to simply add links to those other programs to the launcher.

Take SciTE for example. It's a fine text editor and well suited for development. It is not on PA.com and the last PA-builds I found on the forum are quite outdated (1.8 here, while SciTE is at 3.6), however the scintilla homepage lists windows-builds for the portable version directly.

Is this already implemented and I don't see it? Or is it planned for the near future?

It doesn't work...

It doesn't work...
BTW, is there any way to add a shortcut to the launcher? It'd be super useful.

EXE in root

It works whenever there is an EXE in the root of the directory you add. So, if your directory structure is:

X:\
- Documents
- PortableApps
- - FirefoxPortable
- - PortableApps.com

You can add an app within the PortableApps directory by adding a directory called AppName and placing its files inside as long as AppName.exe is right inside AppName. Unfortunately, this doesn't work for apps with their EXEs buried inside multiple directories (AppName\bin\etc\AppName.exe).

Would you like to be able to just right-click the menu and add a shortcut to a specific app on the drive? If so, I was planning on adding this in.

Shortcuts

Thank you for your help!
I tried again and it worked adding the app, and its folder, inside \PortableApps\PortableApps.

That's also a great idea. But I was referring to be able to add app shortcuts (.LNK) to the menu. For example, I have PortableApps installed in my HD and it would be great to add shortcuts to other apps (external to PortableApps) to the menu, in this way it'd be possible to run any app using the PortableApps menu. Maybe in the same way of adding a .EXE but using a .LNK?
