Hey Folks,
Feeling kind of dumb over here, but we deployed the Portable ESR release to our POS registers a few weeks back and now need to add a second profile. The issue seems to be that we installed it at C:\FirefoxPortable and the 2nd profile utility keeps attempting to locate it at C:\portableapps\firefoxportable.
I've tried installing it to the root of the C: drive to no avail. Any idea how I can change this without having to create that subfolder?
Thanks much!
If you have Firefox Portable installed to X:\FirefoxPortable you can install the 2nd profile utility to X:\FirefoxPortable2ndProfile and it will use the install at X:\FirefoxPortable.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
That's what I figured, but it keeps saying it can't find the firefox executable.
It's working here without issue in the configuration I specified above. Are you sure you installed Firefox Portable ESR to C:\FirefoxPortable and not to C:\FirefoxPortableESR?

FYI: As part of a different project, in order to help FF users, I created a concurrent/multiple-profiles wiki section in our github pages
How to set up multiple profiles with FF portable (3 methods)
https://github.com/ghacksuserjs/ghacks-user.js/wiki/2.2-Multiple-Profile...
How to run concurrent profiles

^^ includes a pretty picture
Feel free to use this
EDIT: It also tells you where and what to put in ini files to fix things if you move/rename folders
Thank you for saving my sanity. I've had it with Chrome and I've been looking for quite a while a way to run multiple concurrent profiles in portable Firefox. First method works like a charm for me!
as always, should any of the above seem greek to you, don't worry; it probably is...
