HI there
i'm comletely happy with this great tool, but on tiny littly thing.
I made two new folders in the PortablsApps Directory, one for portable Putty and one for the Portable version of Trillian
They both work fine, but only if i start them with the .exe file from their directory.
When i start them from the menue they start too, but it seems as they dont start completely. Putty for example does not show the saved connections when started from the menue and trillian does not start all plugins, when started from the menue.
The both work fine when started from the dir they are located.
Any ideas?

Problem with starting third party Apps from the Menue
If they do, the menu will show you all of them and you have to click on the right one. Otherwise the programs may not work.

trillian does only have one .exe file and putty has several but I only use one of them, and copied the other ones away. As i said, when i double klick on the exe everything is fine.
load fully but as they don't appear to be portable then they don't keep there settings.

something to do with using the "Run in..." dialog.
i.e. If you run E:\NSIS.exe with Run in.... set to C:\ $EXEDIR in NSIS should be C:\
I think the menu screws with it, as when you launch Truck Dismount Portable, to use the menu, you have to copy a .dat file to the same folder as StartPortableApps.exe

thanks rmccue, that should be the problem, because both of the programs have a file in which they store the settings i am missing. I must have something to do with the run in thingy i try to copie the files in the same dir as teh exe, and see if that helps, but it might be a problem, as the exe searches for them in another dir, but i will try it and let you guys know
edit:
OK, as i guessed it didnt work because the exe checks for the settings file on a specific location, which is prevented by the menu-loader-run-in-thing.
So as a work around i keep starting it from the dir itself
