Inkscape not updating

When I open my portableapps platform I get a notice that there is an update for Inkscape. I then click on the update button. The other updates go just fine. Inkscape doesn't. I get the message below.

Unable to download the file. This could be due to a proxy or other network issue....

http://portableapps.com/redirect/?a=InkscapaePortable&t=https://inkscape...

Has anyone else seen this issue and does anyone have a solution.

I tried uninstalling Inkscape (cutting and pasting the folder to a separate location) and then using the install more apps link to install a new version from the PortableApps applications list, but no joy there either.

Thanks
Jojo

Error in link, works here

There's an error in the link you provided, which doesn't exist on either the website or in the updater database.

The Inkscape download works here. I'd suggest trying from a different computer.

Inkscape download

Hi:
Thanks for your reply I was able to download Inkscape from your site. I'm planning on deleting my older version and installing yours. Hopefully that will update fine.
Thanks again.

The link worked

Hi:
I uninstalled and installed the Inkscape I got from your site. It works, hooray. Problem solved.
By the way, can I install extensions to the portable Inkscape? Some of them looked interesting.

Glad it worked, absolutely!

I'm glad it worked for you!

You can absolutely install extensions, simply create the directory Inkscape\Data\settings\extensions, and use that as your extension directory when installing extensions as per the information here: https://inkscape.org/en/learn/faq/#how-install-new-extensions-palettes-d...
